Tricia's journey into mindfulness-based practices began in 2004. As she began to experience the transformational effects of mindfulness in her own life, she felt inspired to share the gift of this practice with others. Tricia has a special interest in teaching yoga, accessible to every age and every body, to help manage stress, anxiety and depression. Tricia earned her Yoga Exercise Specialist (YES) certification through East to West Yoga in Toronto, 2005. In 2012, Tricia completed a 200-hour teacher-training program with Octopus Garden Holistic Yoga Centre in Toronto. Tricia recently completed a second 200-hour Yoga alliance certified teacher-training program and is a Register Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her mindfulness-based interventions and formal therapeutic training includes, Holistic Education through OISE with Professor Jack Miller, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 5-day Intensive with Dr. Zindel V. Segal, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) for front line workers with Hincks-Dellcrest.
